Austin Westminster now looks fit for another several Years of owner satisfaction, great colour. The #24c in Bronze is good with nice matching Wine interior.

Nice work. How did you dismantle the Austin. I have one but puzzled on how to remove baseplate.
Happy Holidays,

Thanks Tito
On the innerside of the baseplate are two small tapered posts (one at the front and one in the back), which fit into shafts which are part of the body casting.
In other words the chassis is clamped into the body. I used a very small screwdriver to wring them loose. And that worked without a hitch.
Re-assembling is easy by pressing the base plate into the body again.
