Find of a forgotten motorized Corgi display!

Had the luck to buy this display. Came from a dutch salesman from the SIO company, who was the sole
distributor in the Netherlands in the 60´s for Corgi Toys. Its a huge motorized, wooden show display for bigger stores
like Hamleys, Harrods and much other. These were displayed at christmas time in the stores in windows or special
sales places in the toysection. From this motorized display were made 6 pieces and most of them were thrown away
after the mechanism and motor collapsed! So i think not many, perhaps only this one left. These were made by SIO
for the Mettoy company and was in permanent rotation between the stores, not only England also Benelux!
This one has survived in original wooden shipping box with shipping labels by Mettoy company in like new condition,
because the salesmen had borrowed the mechanism parts and motor for collapsed displays and so they cant use it
any longer. Came with the original set of models!
Found an old photo in my archive material from the Marcel van Cleemput collection where it was shown in b/w.
Here you can see it on display in the 60´s.
Hope you will like it?!
