In the Tekno thread below, a Traingel appeared, so I thought I would start a new Thread. Triangel was a Danish company that made trucks from 1918 to 1958 in Odense. A short history in Danish is here - http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... rev=search Three Danish companies combined - hence the Traingel name and symbol.

Tekno made several of these in their 400 series. They all had the same baseplate and Triangle trademark wheels.

I was not a big fan of the early Tekno but I bought these 25 years ago before the prices got outrageous. I had liked the new FORD D800s, Volvos, Scanias better because of their detailed casting and all the separate plastic parts. Now I think these Triangels are special because they are Danish toy copies of a Danish original truck. I wonder if the owner Siegumfeldt thought of these, or his pattern maker at the time. Later on, he had great employees or sub-contractors that came up with the designs and tooling. Their great designer Eric Spon, 1953-1960, was documented by http://www.teknosamleren.dk/konstruktorens-beretning/ , for instance.
