Hi,
today I received this old Fiat 1500 form Ebay which I want to do some modifications on and paint it in a different color.
What makes me wonder is the coulor spot on the rear window.
Nomaly I would think okay somebody did some paint on it but it is the same color as the car has anyway.
Does somebody have an idea about it?
Stephan

...is it definately paint and not just some 'Flashing' from tool ware. If it is paint it is a pretty good match for the body colour and if it has been applied by a previous owner, was he really that clumsy to allow the paint to go onto the glazing...!
Here is a Silver Spirit with 'Flashing' from tool ware for the rear screen, very interesting 'Negative' variation...

Hi Ghosthunter,
yes it is paint as you can see on the picture below.
Paint ist also on parts of the window inlay where it should not be.
Maybe the fresh painted modell was build together to early before all paint was dry?
Your Rolls is a nice OPPs-model. I like it.

Thanks Stephan. Yes, it is just possible there were surplus paint areas on the inside of the roof that were disturbed when the glazing was placed into the body before the build-up of paint was fully dry. So the outer body surface may well have been dry but any thicker areas would have required more baking time, which of course does not happen in a production-flow system, each model has the same amount of time in the oven.
Now you have recorded this with the pictures, will you restore to original colour or custom paint it to your own choice.
GHOSTHUNTER.
