Very pleased to have finally tracked down one of these - and it's absolutely mint too!

I've been actively searching for this variation for about four years.

Hugh,
Some of us, including myself, are still trying to get to grips with all the RW variations. Can you please explain what makes this one different (i assume it's the base color or the wording on the base) and can you tell us what variation code this one is.
Can we have some more pictures of it aswell?
Sorry if i am asking too much, but i find all this quite facinating.
Thanks

It was a change that happened in the casting of the lower half or base half of the model. The change happened very early on in the timeline of this model and they are somewhat hard to find. I just gave a mint one to a collector friend last week. Over the years, I've had three of four of them and feel they are not rare and mostly overlooked.

Thanks Joe,
Wow this RW scene is complicated. How do you guys remember all the ins and outs of the multitude of castings and subtle differences from one model to another. And i thought Superfasts were bad for the number of variants.
I am enjoying my exploration of the RW scene but i am sure that i am going to walk right past that gem due to my lack of knowledge.

Yeah MM,its about the love u have for these models that will keep u coming for more and learning the ropes.Just as u learnt about Superfasts so will it be for RWs.
When a variant/variations are being discussed here then straight away pop into Nicks and see exactly what they are talking about and thats it...never to be forgotten!!!
Have fun cos it sure doesnt stop here....
