That is amazing Nick, reminds me of a mini Storage Wars, but that is a lot of dollars. The tape on the side shows some model names but the big question is leave it sealed or cut it open? I bet there's two camps. Anyone got an mri handy?

Featuring these &#*%$ here takes some guts Jones, go to the Pub for immediate treatment if you can make it. If not, we will send over a Lomas with roof cross to transport you there.
Once this case has been opened, in my opinion, the value drops to just the value of the Mint blisters it contains. If they were stored in a hot California warehouse, they may be really blistered....... At this price the 96 cars are over 400 U.S. each, way over their Toy Show or E Bay value as far as I know, and the Seller's reserve has not been met yet. Is the Seller located in Germany with a U.S. Post address?..... ;) kwakers

The box artwork has a 1970 copyright date but who knows exactly how many years this box design was in use for? Some Redline experts will be able to tell from the code on the side what year and month the box was packed but the mix and condition of what is inside is difficult to determine without opening but if they are pre 1973 Redlines in perfect condition then an average $500 was realistic pre 2008 crash

Would be ironic if it had someone's old christmas decorations inside and the box was resealed to store them in the attic.

LOL.
Reminds me of a job we had some years ago, We had to remove and dispose of an old safe from a nunnery, No one can ever remember seeing the safe open and the keys had been lost many many years ago, We took it to the scrap yard and got the grab driver to drop it onto a solid concrete base until it broke open, With pound signs £ in out eyes we rushed over to discover that it held............nothing but nuns underwear!...
