Hello guys, yes it's definatley the early Lone Star model and these were imported into the U.S. markets by 'SS KRESGE' and their logo was made up of a large 'K' so that's what "Matchboxtom" has probably seen, not the 'K-MART' logo. It's a very desirable variation, not seen that much in the U.K.

Hello Fixer, yes, it has the standard riveted 'Lone Star' baseplate as shown below. As far as I know, all the models imported into the U.S. markets were taken from the normal range of models currently on sale in the U.K. and this applies to Lone Star models also imported by 'DURHAM INDUSTRIES INC' as 'PEEWEE Motors'.

OK, I'm way behind on reading the posts. I have the same car, same box but thought something was different. Mine has a green interior. Perhaps Ghosty or one of our other members can enlighten us about variations. Also, mine came in a collection and I have not identified a true value on it. While I know the the saying "if you have to ask.." applies to many a Rolls-Royce, perhaps someone might disclose a value on this one?

Hello Ford_a_30, The green seats are less common than red seats, but the silver main body colour is the more common.

As an 'IMPY' Version this model was finished in...

Metallic brown with red seats.
Metallic lilac with red seats.
Metallic tan with red seats.
Silver-grey with red or green seats.

I have only seen the Silver-grey model (both seat colours), in the 'mini-mite' box.

Really good displayable models tend to be around £20, mint in box for around £25.

All the above should have 'Jewelled' headlamps and spun riveted baseplates (like my picture above).

I don't have my full 'Lone Star' information with me, just some basic details for the few pictures I have on the Laptop, but the above gives you an idea of what's what, hope it is helpful.

I have managed to get my 'LONE STAR' "IMPY" and "FLYERS" collection with me at my Fathers house and can now see what models I have. I have a tan "IMPY" #22 with orange seats so that can be added to my item above, plus I can now point out the body casting difference...

Mk 1 body = The floor area behind the bottom of the front seats is 'flat'...All early models upto and including the green seats version.

Mk 2 body = The same area is angled, looking like a little smooth slope...All models made after the green seats version, including all the "Flyers" models.

I have not seen a green seat version with the Mk 2 body.
