Well, I see a lined scratch on the area around the front rivet, and the back one has part of it kinda removed. And they are unusually all green (and quite "deep", as if they were drilled and extra filler was put after that), the paint looks new, etc.. there was some greek guy who did such kind of restorations (replicas of the brazilian models). Another thing - the decal on hood shows wear and quite dirty, and looks as if it was removed and placed back when the model was resprayed. I however only have the bulgarian version of the model and it doesnt have the rivets like that aswell.
That's what I think about it mate, of course, I might be very wrong or it to be a legit pre-pro

Numi,
I noticed this listing on e bay earlier this week and questioned it right away. It just isn't right. Matchbox England have never used such a vibrant Green metallic on a #45, it looks like something the Brazilians would have done though.
I think this is either the work of Nik Stil in Greece, or possible it was originaly a Bulgarian variant with a base swap!!
Both rivets show signs of having been tampered with. Alarm bells are ringing.
P.S That box looks like it could be a repro
You are keeping quiet on this one Senior Detective Numi......i expect your report to be on my desk by sunrise!!

I don't have one of these BMW's to compare with this one, Can someone post a picture of what the rivets should look like.

Hugh, the lack of paint is not a concern,
I know that this car is 100% genuine. I also have 2 Manhalter versions of this beemer and both of these also have no paint on the rivets. My orange beemers on the other hand do have paint on their rivets.
