Green 5a Bus

There seems to be some confusion regarding just how many of the Australian green 5a Busses have been in the public domain.
Could we please all upload the photographs of this model we have stored on our PCs? By careful comparison of the paint wear, we should be able to work out how many different ones there really are. (My photographs are on another PC, so I'll do an upload tonight.)

I don't have any photos, but this is the link I posted earlier from Carters in Oz.

This green Bus was mentioned early on the LeFora Forum. Nick's listing of three known may date to a story told by a collector of passing them up as re-paints years ago. The model was totally unknown to me at the time, so I found the Post and the discussion afterwards most interesting. I am sure Numi sent me a picture of one 2 years ago (?) that was much rougher than the ones shown here, so I believe others have also been found, sold, and are in collections. Mick from Australia with his RW Lesney displays would perhaps know more about them, but I don't have his contact info handy any more. Again there is relative silence on the Forum, so there are very few of that rare variation known. kwakers

Martin's picture is of the one sold in Melbourne a couple of years ago.

That may in fact be the one that Numi sent me a picture of back then. Thanks Ozbox!! I remembered it being a bit rougher than that, but she was the one that was not impressed with it's condition. I was in LOVE!!!! I am sure she has learned enough about collecting Lesneys now not to pass up such a rarity in ANY condition. kwakers

I know of two 5a Green buses, I had the first one in my hands at the Sandown Toy Fair, that one belonged to John Moore the collector/Dealer for me to judge in authanticty just before he sold his collection through Vectis Auctions.

The other one is in my friends collection in Victoria Australia I have seen photos of it.
