Search Issues

Anyone else having issues with Ebay searches?
I'm finding that Google-style searches created using the 'advanced search' function are no longer working, and even pre-programmed category searches (such as 'Matchbox & Lesney' in 'Diecast & Vehicles' on ebay.co.uk) return results with huge gaps in the timelines and also appear to ignore non-UK listings (in spite of having toggled the Worldwide option on and off). I've even tried picking up the Matchbox & Lesney search from the site index afresh, but still get unsatisfactory search results. I get considerably more hits using the pre-programmed searches on ebay.com but, once again, the Worldwide filter makes no difference at all to the number of hits.
It's not just my PC or the server I'm using, because it happens both at work (don't tell the boss!) and at home.
Update: it appears to be an error in the sort filter. "Best match" gives a sensible number of hits (including a big difference when changing to Worldwide), but changing to "Time: newly listed" produces 0 hits, plus the sort and view boxes are missing from the header.
