Very nice Jeff. I have only ever seen one code one sell on E Bay in the last 6 years, and it was expensive and very well used. That one is on most everyone's 'Want List' I am sure, with very few surviving today. I don't recall ever seeing even one example in all my years of collecting. I am finding the Fine Gray plastic wheel version without riveted interior to be very hard to locate also. My first car was a 4 year old 1964 VW split window Van, and I now have several of the full size split windowed vans, so this Toy is one of my favorites. kwakers

I think the fellow in Germany has a code 1 for sale. Even if I had the money I would never buy it from him.
Your most correct on the fgw. Just yesterday i was beaten badly on what I had hoped to be a code 6. No worries, as there is always tomorrow.
Bug or van I love VW's. My wife of almost 30 years was driving a 69 bug when I first met her. I use to moonlight at a place called Brought Back Bugs. Electrical work. Easy money.

Hello Lrrp59,
What a very good way of displaying 'Coded' models, I wonder if it would work with 20 or so, #44a Silver Cloud Rolls-Royce models!!!
might be too many to see any differences between them,
But I like your idea nevertheless,
Ghosty.

I've considered that. With 20 or more just break them down into groups of five. I would love to see your collection of Rolls listed in such a fashion. Makes it much easier to fill in the variations that are missing. A picture is so much better than a description.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hello again Lrrp59, I have been showing these models like this to help in their indentification regards my own listing of these and now that they are like this, it is easy to see which ones are missing, just like your display.
The actual number of models in this picture has gone up, so now there is 'A 10' and 'B 10' spaces and one of these has already been filled.
Newer pictures of this model and the #44a Silver Cloud are being organised for posting on the forum very soon, so keep an eye open for them.
Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.
