The new Mattel modern tractor fits the SF tractor transporter perfectly. I first tried the MB modern vintage looking red tractor but that was too skinny to fit the plastic holder.

What color should I paint it. Try to find something that matches the tractor blue and yellow or maybe strip the blue tractor also and paint the tractors and truck both.

I have time. It is 38 degrees in Seattle and probably won't strip and paint until June.

I dont believe you could possibly improve the transporter in any way by painting it. The tractors need satin black detailing inside the cabs at the very least,indeed if all yellow parts were painted satin black those tractors would look like reasonably decent models rather than toys
