#22 PONTIAC GP? YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE

Post by motorman »

I am sure a lot of you guys were watching this one. The seller of this model kept the bidders details private on the listing (why do they do that?) so i am not sure of any if the members of the forum were the successful bidder. I just hope that when the successful bidder receives this car they go over it with a fine tooth comb. Personaly i am not convinced that this is the genuine article. I also have a feeling that it is on route to Germany as we speak.

What do you guys think?

Not to mention the rough edges to the outer extremity of the rivets.

Paint finish on the trunk doesnt look very Lesney and tyres show signs of significant wear even though body doesnt - glazing also not a snug fit to the roof - hot foiling on tyres looks genuine to me,rivits look like they belong on a more used model

Could this possibly be the Brazilian (Inbrima) as opposed to Lesney?
This seller had sold off some genuine pre-pros and some nice htf's over a period incl a few prototypes.I do not doubt this seller in the least.

Hi Reg an elderly collector friend in Us/Canadian border has a similar Sf Pontiac with open doors but in Yellow and also have the cast-shut doors in Blue.both Inbrima.
He also has the Lesney RW Purple Pontiac. This 'Old Toppie" is no chancer.
