Up and out nice and early for the Brentwood fair, arrived at 8.30, I did not expect to find much as I was there last month but you never know.
My first find was a playworn Marx tractor unit in a 25p junkbox, I have been looking out for one for some time as I already had a trailer for it but the dealer was nowhere to be seen so I thought I would come back for it later, Next I found a lighter blue 9d boat minus trailer for £1, I already had an empty orange trailer for it.
Next came a nice 29 Cambridge with grey wheels which was well worth the £5 asking price, Then came another 29, this time a racing Mini in red, I have a few bronze and orange Minis so added this one to my collection for £5.
I thought I had found a good buy when I spotted a large scale Massey Harris for £115 but it was repainted so it went back on the table.
So I'm browsing one stall when an attractive blond came and stood next to me, I glanced up at her and she flashed me a smile. Wow I though, she is exactly what I am looking for, (1) she's not taller than me and (2) she's breathing.
So I bumped into her several more times but I'm still trying to pluck up the courage to a talk to her.
Finally I came to the very last stall, he had quite a lot of late issue superfasts so I sorted through them, I found a nice 9 boat trailer minus boat so I bought it for £2
Then back to find the stall with the Marx tractor unit, I did not find it but I found two more Marx truck & trailer for £1 each so I bought them instead.
Then to the snack bar for a coffee before heading home, I get my coffee and stand by the exit door, who should come and stand by me but the attractive blond, After a minute or two had passed I decided to see if she would like a coffee, and with that her husband walked up, damn it.
I get home and decide to clean and put away my finds, also look up the superfasts as I still don't know much about them, but I can't find the 9 boat trailer on the list, the one that I found was black so I pull out an orange trailer to compare it to, The black trailer has 4 rivets to hold the wheel clip while the orange one only has two?.
So have I found a pre pro trailer ?. I don't know......
It is obviously a later issue as it has "Lesney" and "England" blanked off, also the wheels are slightly larger than on the orange one, so could it be Bulgarian or Hungarian or pre pro ????????

Your black trailer is Chinese made! Nice lot,so often when expect nothing good things turn up and then the most anticapated high profile events deliver little or no gems...........

I am blond attractive female and today i decided to go to the Brentwood toy fair to look for some xmas gifts. Well i will never go back to that place again.

I was only there 5 minutes when this small balding fat guy stood right next to me, staring straight at me up and down with his tongue hanging out and a big puddle of drool forming at his feet!! He was so close i could hear him panting and could feel his hot breath on my neck. Then i heard him whisper in a gravily voice "You are mine".

Well, fearing for my life, i ran as fast as i could into the tea shop to seek help, I turned around and to my utter horror noticed that this strange man had followed me, and was continuing to stare in my direction, licking his lips and fumbling in the pockets of his trousers.

I was about to scream when suddenly my Daddy appeared and i ran to him and told him i wanted to go home to Mummy. I was to afraid to tell my Daddy what happened, as i didn't want my Daddy to be angry at me and stop my pocket money.

Now i am worried that the bad man followed me home. Soon it will be time to go to my bed and there is no way i will sleep, i will have nightmares for a very very long time. I feel competely traumatised.
