It is great to see mega rare cars in the most passionate hands! Interesting to see wheels which werent around in 1972 paired with chrome scoop from 1972 but no surprise for later colour trials that Jack Odell´s department would have chrome scoops handy from initial pre-pros.motorman wrote:It has been a great week. As some of you may know i have had my eye on a certain prepro SF#9 AMX Javelin for quite some time but for certain reasons (mainly Ghosty!!) it has been outwith my grasp. Well my luck was in this week due to a certain member finding a Lone Star Firenza in blue, yes i am talking about non other that Reg, (Fixer) who has now kindly allowed me to acquire this lovely piece of Matchbox history. I am absolutely delighted to be the next custodier of this rare model. Thank you very much Reg Beale you have made my day, week, month and year!!!!

OK, I think I know what you are hinting at...I'll go and get the Firenza in from the garden, see if it'll clean up (I put it out there when I found out Reg had now got a decent Firenza and put mine outside to free-up some space indoors), clean off the Snail trails, mud and the odd few Ants and pass it over to Reg.motorman wrote:C'mon Ghosty you didn't honestly think that you were off the hook did you?fixer wrote:I'm glad you like it Al the phone call when you received it was a joy
