Looking back 2017, I'm very delighted to have added these 2 interesting items to my collection.

This German language display was the one that exhibited in Chester Toy Museum back then. Got it in Jan 2017 from Stewart Orr.

A glass tumbler with a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow trapped inside. By comparing the details, I believe it's the exact same one as shown in P.21 of UK Matchbox Club Journal Vol.5 No.1 (Apr 1981). Got it in Mar 2017 from ebay and the seller was our forum member Bob (bobbo13). Coincidently, the person who contributed to the Journal article his name was also Bob. I suppose they are the same Bob? :P

I have another glass tumbler. They are similar except for the big Matchbox logo and the car inside (Lamborghini Countach). Both have HOWW marked at the bottom. And I've seen a couple of these over the years. They all carried the big Matchbox logo. So I think these are the final products. In contrast, the one with Rolls-Royce was very unique. It could be a trial.

Thin tipper braces and no tow guide. Sorry about the shadows - too dark for a daylight picture, but I think the colour balance is about right.

Very nice, you gave me a new target....

searching and found a box the model was not displayed but box with model was a fair
price so it was bought did'nt look at the model until later only to find it had amber

I hope you find one. With only three known, it's looking like one of the rarest regular wheels Matchboxes, which can't possibly be true!

Merry Xmas to all.
A little quiet on the acquisition front this year due to downsizing, minimalism and travelling. Finally acquired real life toy Mustang GT after 50 year wait.

On 1-75 front I now possess a long awaited pair
- Land Rover station wagon in olive colour with yellow horsefloat.
