A stunning group and I really like the "overhead" shot that shows different colors/shades! Well Done and a great perspective!
To start a request for close-ups (there could be many!), how about:
30b Tan Magirus Deutz crane
46a Tan Morris minor
33c Gold w/ red interior Lamborghini Miura
Thanks,
Bill
Would love to show closeups. The models are in map drawers which pull out to reveal the collection. The drawers keep off the dust and sunlight and preserve the models. I have larger early Lesneys in cabinets, and boxes and accesory packs in other displays or storage. Macdonald
Hello macdonald,
Very impressive, I love this method of display. As mentioned by Gavin and Bill it really does show off the bright colours.
This type of display is also showing us some nice shade differences that are being documented in the unlisted variations section.
I like the farm trailer colour display and a nice way to see subtle casting variations from above in addition to exspanse of colour.
I was going to ask with the drawer 1 display if you have to support the drawers when opening but you have shown me just enough with the second drawer to show solid steel extension runners and now makes sense in them being map/drafting drawers.

Can you tell us if the matting in the base of drawers is the GRIP type material used in woodworking and sewing crafts for holding items firm on benches. Does it have a brand name please.

Along with your clever roadway/garage display in the other thread I can feel a long term project coming on.
Love it. ( and now drawer 3 looks pretty stunning too :D :D :D )
All the best
Bert

Hi Bert, Thanks for the nice comments. The drawer matting is a non stick rubber shelf web. Not sure of the brand. It does prevent the models from shifting and protects the wheels. GRIP material can stick to the wheels and even lead to possible deformation or transfer although very unlikely. I love this method of display. One draw back is you have to pick up the models to see variations in bases and wheels. Of course that is true in most displays. Macdonald

Thanks Bill, Here are the photos you asked for. The miura is a Superfast place holder. One of about five in the RW collection. The other three are RW. Cheers, Macdonald

Thanks Motorman. Still looking for a gold Miura with a red interior to replace the bronze Superfast. It took a long search to find the genuine yellow Miura with white interior. Cheers, Macdonald

absolutely blown away by your collection. I really like the concept of that display too. I never thought to place models in a drawer

Thank you Shane. This method of display does not take up as much room as others and protects from sun and dust. It's always fun to see the face of friends and collectors when I open a drawer to reveal the contents! I appreciate your nice comments on the collection. It has been fun to share the photos with the members of the forum. Cheers, Macdonald
