Excellent job and I loved the in progress pics and comments. Always interesting to see the challenges that develop along the way (and how they are solved).

As for the color, I lean slightly towards Kevin's thoughts but it still looks excellent. I'm not sure if I could decide on a better color on my own, I'd have to spend some time looking over lots of 1:1's to make a decision. Although it's true, some castings, makes and models look better in some colors.

It get's me to thinking about how some collectors rave how good a model looks in a specific rare or hard to find color. More often than not, I disagree with those comments. Take these vintage matchbox models, for example:

The 11a tanker in green looked completely incorrect, yellow was better but too much like generic "construction equipment" color. The red really looked great.

The 12c Landy in green was good, Blue was just OK but the rare metallic Gold was just silly.

The 19d Lotus was great in the famous Lotus Green and while it looked great in Orange, it just wasn't very "Lotus."

The 39c Ford tractor in orange was completely wrong on many levels.

I hated the 43 Hillman in that apple Green but loved it in the two tone scheme.

The 45a Vauxhall Victor never looked right (to me) in Red but the yellow nailed it. Same goes for the Fiat in Red.

I think quickly changing the 62c Cougar from that dull cream color to metallic green was a perfect color switch. That "old man color" cream was just awful on that car. the only thing worse would have been some shade of brown.

It's easy to see how color choices are difficult and can sometimes make or break the looks of the project. However, in this case, The color lets the model itself shine through and you can clearly see the excellent craftsmanship that went into the project.

By the way thanks for all the comments, critics and advice. I will do another one in the future, having learned a lot of this first try.
