I like the new look of the Auction site, however can you clarify how you deduct the commission for any sales and are payment options decided between sellers and buyers or is it only done by paypal? Sorry if i have asked a stupid question. I am a bit slow when it comes to all this auction business!!

Re: VBD Auctions
Hi Alex.
This is not ebay, There is no commission or final valuation fee, just a one off payment of 30p to auction or 'buy it now' your model,
The site is set up to do several different types of electronic payments (including paypal) between buyer and seller or you can pay face to face or cash by post or postal order, the choice is yours,
When you sign up you actually open an account and get £3 credit and the site does not bill you until you have 10 auctions running, Its up to you to pay the £3 or more to get extra credits. at least thats the theory, we have not had any auctions end yet. I believe the buyers details are withheld until payment is made.
Don't forget wanted ads are free.
Also there is the option to 'make an offer'
It has all of the functions of ebay and more without the drawbacks (and clawbacks) of ebay.

Nice one Nick.
Sounds nice and straight forward. I have taken advantage of the wanted section to place a request. Thanks
