This TV show will no doubt be just like every other show that features Storage lockers, Antiques, Car boot sales etc.
The producers will only have one thing on their mind, entertaining the viewer and they will put a certain amount of undue pressure on the owner of any featured collection to take the whole lot to auction to see what it gets!!!.
And they will probably place the collection in a local auction house rather than into a specialist sale.
They have absolutely no interest in the collections themselves, I guarantee it. They just want to entertain their viewing audience.
So please be aware of this!

Looks like they need out of control obsessives to take part.hopefully nobody here is mad enough to take part in such a show

That would occur on the Fourth of July here, motorman, meaning if that's the criteria for cleaning up, this procrastinator just got a heck of a lot more time!motorman wrote:Alan, It will be soon be November 5th, time for Fireworks and Bon fires. You could have the best bon fire in your area with that lot!!

I'm pretty sure I did take it sideways, as that is my normal position.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:I you have taken the picture of your...tidy office... with a 'Cellphone', I presume you held the phone in it's normal 'upright' position, making the images become 'PORTRAIT', try another picture, but turn the 'Cellphone' on it's side so your image is then in a 'LANDSCAPE' format, how virtually all digital cameras are used. If you already had the 'Cellphone' on it's side for the picture, then try it upright.Big Al wrote:I'm glad you replied, though. This is the first picture I posted, again not the way I eventually will. But I noticed that it had the scroll bars. No problem, I just clicked on the picture. So then it enlarged the picture and I realized: It displayed full-height, but seriously cropped the width and gave no scroll bar to view the rest of the width. Any thoughts on this, GHOSTHUNTER?GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Yeh, but as soon as you tidy that lot up, you'll never find anything...!
Ghosty.
See you later,

I see there may be more elsewhere in another thread on the subject so I'll head over there, and thanks again!

Re: twentytwenty tv
Hello Big Al,
I see what you mean now, I didn't 'slide' your office picture when I first saw it, I just automatically clicked on it, (you see, force of habit already !). I have taken the liberty of saving them and re-posting them here, mainly as an indication of what has happened.
The programme that controls the way the forum parameters are laid out like all the text fonts, borders and how images are displayed etc are adjustable, by someone, possibly Nick, I don't know how much control and adjustment he has, but just as an example, put your cursor on any image and right click, now scroll right down to the...'Inspect element' and click...what you see, will be some of the 'code instructions' for that particular image and page its being displayed on and the border area for 'our' posted images can be adjusted in hear, now, this is not something 'you' or 'I' would normally be playing with, but I would think that when Nick as an administrator goes into here and adjusts any settings, there will be a 'Save settings' and 'Confirmation of settings' or something like that, but we don't see this because we are not allowed in here...naughty boys stay out...
Any experts, (Racing freak...) want to come back and confirm or correct this, please!
Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.

- This is what we see at first and we have to scroll from left to right to see the whole picture.

Just a program to get you to sell off all your 'goodies' and as said lets everyone know what you have. Never could figure out those people who appear on programs like Secret Dealers etc. This seems to be the same format. No way they would get in my 'junk room' and seems I have found a true brother in Big Al !!
Re: twentytwenty tv
Thanks, GHOSTHUNTER. I knew you'd get on the case! It's no big problem for this picture, obviously; I do wonder, though, how much we have missed in other photos, as I now have the same habit as you: Just click the pic when one sees the scroll bars, never imagining that it then possibly crops it.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:Hello Big Al,

I know I could just reduce the pic before I posted it in the first place (although I thought 166kb might "make the cut"), but for pictures that might require close inspection as many here do, I have to figure it out. It seems that much higher resolution and larger files would be required in that case. I know you've posted much more elsewhere on the subject. I will study harder, I promise!

Maybe one day we can get together and throw Barbie on the grill. Wait, is that how that goes?Moyboy wrote:Just a program to get you to sell off all your 'goodies' and as said lets everyone know what you have. Quick tip Al, to view pics on the forum that are too large to fit the screen, hold down the CTRL key and scroll up / down, or CTRL and wind your mouse wheel out / in.
