That ""UU" registration on the Birkin car is very evocative for those who like old London buses, as registration numbers in that series were used by the London General Omnibus Company for a number of significant buses in 1929/30, including the prototypes for the famous T (AEC Regal), ST (AEC Regent) and LT (AEC Renown) classes. All of them were probably a bit slower than the Bentley, but they did manage to fit in a lot more seats!

Is the Airfix 12/1 scale blower Bentley the real thing or is it as I have always suspected a plastic model .Its just so many exist.. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Yes Ian, the Airfix 12th scale Bentley is real and was based on an actual real car.

I drove past this scene on my way to a toy show in Bennington Vermont.
Whistler’s Mother is in the Museum in the background and Robert Frost is buried in the cemetery just past the trees.
