I don't know if these are of any help!
I know it's hard to tell in photo's but both models look the wrong shade to me.

I like this one! Reminds me of what I did to most of my Matchbox as a kid, I played with them hard, and still own most! This is one I would be proud to own even if it wasn't rare!

I noticed the base has two PAT numbers on it. What are these for?
I know that models have a PAT number on them, but two! Is one for the true guide steering or opening doors and one for the model itself?

One is the patent application number, proving a patent has been applied for. A sort of interim identification putting would be copiers on notice. The second is the actual patent number issued once uniqueness has been proven.

Easier to just machine out a new line with the patent number in the die than fill and replace the existing App number or create a new die altogether.
