Dick given the the ability to take a photographic image was invented well over 100 years ago, you really have NO excuse for the lack visual images in your posts. Get yourself a camera!!!!!

Whenever I draft my posts without pictures Motorman, given 2 or three days, other Forum members find models in their collection they never knew were different, and post better images than I ever could. We will soon see several images of these Boat Trailers with round front hitches, and now that it has been noted again, a picture or two of these early Boat Trailers without studs on them that were always assumed to be broken, not actually cast that way........Everyone can also look through their beater boxes now for an illusive early boat without the hole in the hull for that stud......Must Hardy always be the one who educates us to these early castings by putting his 'Spares' up for sale at his E Bay Store???? kwakers
Re: 48a Meteor Sports Boat & Trailer
Kwackers my dear Caveman friend, you have a matchbox collection that many members, including myself, would happily loose an arm and a leg for and these constant excuses are becoming.........well.........exhausting.
You have a multitude of rare RW and SF models in your collection, in boxes, cupboards, garages, aircraft hangers etc etc etc, and yet you still want to lazily lie on the furry pelt of your latest kill and ignore our repeated pleas to add a F***ing electric plug point and a F***ing light bulb in that damp dingy cave of yours.
It just isn't good enough.
You seriously have so much to offer my primitive friend and yet you would rather play with sticks than educate your fellow peers with images of your vast collection!!!!!............shame on you Dick!!

Yes Dick, surely someone in the cave next door has got a Camera or even someone good at drawing so they at least could come round to your cave for the evening and sketch some of the models in your collection.

NO, NOT IN MY ENCAMPMENT!
We are decent, we send out special invites to our Neighbours stipulating the kids they bring with them must not do daubing on the walls, use the pieces of wood we have supplied and any rude pictures of cavemen holding big sticks awkwardly must be done in attendance of an adult.
So I don't know what camp you live in, but clearly it's behind the times...

Re: 48a Meteor Sports Boat & Trailer
I do have a large Club I bring out with me if my Wife and I go out dancing, it keeps the youngsters around us in line.....
Nick has created a listing of all known major and minor Lesney regular wheel castings that most collectors know of to date, and has the best online pictures of those details that are the rarest on them. Most of the very minor RW casting variations I am searching for now would bore the death out of modern day collectors other than a select few that are collecting to that level of detail. Mick calls we boring old souls 'Completists', so the hunt for these minor details is our main excitement. I am a leftover from a different time, and also a different era in Lesney collecting. I can make no excuses for my slow snail-like behavior that modern collectors find so peculiar, but if it's facts that you need from 45 years ago, I am always happy to give you those I have first hand experience with. If it's pictures you need, go to Nick's site for most, Hardy's site for others, or simply ask Jason, Antonin, Numi, or other Forum members to search their collections for anything 'new' I may mention. Hugh (over time and with patience) has found a few of the oddities I have mentioned or confirmed here on the Forum, so he has made me very proud to be a member here. I simply motivate others to act, while I am buried in Lesneys and enjoying every minute of your Forum friendships......I count 35 uncoded RW Lesneys right here on my computer desk today that my wife is not happy with at all. 5 of them are #21 Mixers that yellowfoden and I are busy trying to re-code for Nick's listing update that may take us another year to complete. I have 12 coded already besides these added Mixers, but not one like his early smooth barrel model
.......Pictures of my disorganized Lesney hoarding? I can bore you in person at a live Toy Show, after hours of course, just ask KAY.......

Re: 48a Meteor Sports Boat & Trailer
I think "Motorman" and myself will have to pool our funds and buy a 'Drone' to fly out to "Kwakers" cave and get our own pictures of his models. So Dick, when you here a humming noise outside the cave entrance, just hold up your models one by one and we'll do the rest.

Re: 48a Meteor Sports Boat & Trailer
I'd like to remind Dick that the forum and it's members are still waiting on photos he promised, some as far back as a couple of years now.
Digital cameras are fairly inexpensive these days and a used one from a pawn broker or a camera shop will even cost less. With today's software it's pretty much plug n play to get photos from a camera or a smart phone. I can't imagine that someone on the road as much as Dick isn't required to have a smart phone just to receive texts and emails as well as to document "incidents" which might happen. It's also a good way for his employer to know where he is at any given moment. Most every smart phone has quite an excellent camera these days. But still, the hobby virtually requires a camera.
Not to pile on with Dick's problem, but I recognize an excuse when I read one!

It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
