The original 'POLYTOYS' Silver Cloud III from 1966, had a 'Flock' interior in Red.johnboy wrote:Which make had the flock style interiors? 'TOMICA' then copied the idea for their Phantom VI in 1984.

An alternative wheel design was fitted to some later versions of the 'MEBETOYS Silver Shadow, shown below and in 1980, a plastic copy of the model came out of Russia under two differnt names...'ABTOWKA' and 'MODEL KOPIA', one of which is shown further down.

As you can notice headlights always are wrong vertical side mounted.
Except one copy I've found. Certainly bad assembled

And here is the modelkopia box that shows a four doors sedan...

These are interesting photos (and thanks Ghosty for the info on the earlier "funky" interior". I googled it and it was funkier than I remember)

Nice wheels variation. I'm affraid I find them too sport for such a car and I prefer the most common spun hubs.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:An alternative wheel design was fitted to some later versions of the 'MEBETOYS Silver Shadow, shown below and in 1980, a plastic copy of the model came out of Russia under two differnt names...'ABTOWKA' and 'MODEL KOPIA', one of which is shown further down.

Here is an image shown in an early 'MEBETOYS' catalogue for their Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. Clearly showing the standard Four door saloon, despite their model being based on the Two door saloon by H J Mulliner Park Ward. So when the plastic versions were introduced, they simply based the box artwork on the Mebetoys catalogue artwork!!

Maybe. Maybe not.
I got this early catalogue but the 1971 too where you can see the two door model.
And modelkopia produced the RR (that's what the RR models bible says) in 1981.
In the 60's Corgi-Toys sold the Mercedes 220 SE coupé in a box showing a four door sedan... And a Ford Consul sedan with two doors coupé illustrated box.
So...
