I sold it to Frank Fleming, I believe he broke up his collection and sold it on but where it went I don't know.

'Toyboy' Alan Wank has the Frankie Flemming Collection he is selling off currently. He is a very nice man to deal with, but I don't ever remember Nick's Mustang being offered. That is a 'Holy Grail' if I have ever seen one Nick, what a memory to have found that one 'in the wild'. I guess strange pre-pros have always been and will be favorites of mine, even when not released to the general public. The Mustang is a lesson for us all, It actually came out of a diecast dealers under the table 50p junk box.......
It was not only the wrong colour, had the wrong colour interior, had the wrong wheels but the baseplate casting was also different.

What an extraordinary model and story Nick. That model fit right in with Frankies collection, a bit rich for we 'Commoners'..........I know the feeling about the $$, there will be many others for you like our 23C in green to find, share, move along, and also remember with a BIG smile the rest of our lives....Dick My wife wishes I could get with the 'Move Along' part of that statement...
