So who wants to get that thread started? We have 3 weeks left to run the thread and most of us already have the greatest gems we will find this year now!

I think each member are allowed to post 1 model with the story of how it was found. Only a model found in 2013 can be presented and it has to be a british vintages model. AND it has to be the best found in 2013 :-)

I agree with that...ONE LESNEY or ONE OTHER, if this works out OK, then next year maybe do a similar listing for European 10 best finds of HTF models.

This sounds like fun
How about 1 rw & 1 sf with a vote in the new year on each type to get the most popular

Seeing as most people here collect RW perhaps the fairest solution is for every member to submit their 2 favourite finds on 2013, one of which must be a pre 1970 Lesney ,the other either a SF or any other vintage British diecast which ISNT pre 1970 Lesney - folks could then on 1st January vote for the one they would most like to own & folks could also tell us if they also own the same gem variation shown by others to see just how rare these gems are amongst forum members

Excellent !! I will not start the tread. I think a person with propper english skills should make the thread "members amazing finds in 2013" or something like that. Also start the tread with a propper explanation of the rules. (Nick? Idris? Mick?)

Perhaps the feature here that I am most looking forward to is not extra listings but actually the collector checklist that covers the variations already known - I think it will be fascinating to see just how many of the rarer variations belong to members here and this 2013 thread could give an indication how relatively rare or common the gems we have found are if other folks post IF they own the same variation - I nominate Idris to start the thread -perhaps the lounge is the obvious most visited place to put a thread covering RW + other vintage items??
