Personally, I'd leave it like it is. The green Pickfords isn't scarce so it would be easy to find a better one. But it really depends on what you want from your collection, and whether this particular example has sentimental value. If you've had it from childhood, you might want to put it back to the condition it was in when new. Or you might want a collection of perfect-looking models without spending a fortune, so you might restore it completely. But it's your collection: you should do what would make you happiest.

I'd leave it as it is except build some furniture and stuff for the back and a couple of lazy removal men, standing about and smoking fags, just like the ones we had.
