So another month rolls by and its back to Brentwood again, Up at 5am, an hour and a half drive through the rain to Brentwood and I arrive at 7.30 just as the night sky is dawning.
My first find was a Husky Monkeemobile in mint condition for £20, I did not buy it right away preferring to hold on to my cash until I had had a walk around.
A few stalls later I find the VW camper for a very good price and can't leave it,
Next came an interesting 6c Euclid for under £5, more about that one later. Then I find a very unusual bus thing that I did not recognise, It was a Siku Tempo Matador bus complete with its canoe on the roof, asking price of £15 and I got it for £12, Pleased with this I then found a plated Yesteryear Daimler but this one was plated with gold so out came the wallet and into the bag it went.

Last month you may recall I found a 9d boat trailer in black so I still needed a boat for it, Luckily a boat turned up so I asked how much, £3, I was just about to put the boat into my bag when the dealer tipped out a bag full of trailers and told me to find myself a trailer (at no extra charge). So I had a look at them, he had about 6-8 blue trailers, and one odd one in white!. So I snatched up the white trailer of course.
So I have been around the hall once and decide to head back for the Monkeemobile, When I get back to the stall I notice the dealer also has a Benbros breakdown truck with the later S type Bedford cab, it's a bit chipped but good enough for me, The asking price £10. I get the S type and the Monkeemobile for £25 so I am very happy.

On my walk around I stop and have a brief chat with Reg (fixer) and soon after I bump into Gary Galvin and show him what I have bought.
The last purchase was a Cement mixer in green & red which is similar in size to the Lesney 1-75, I assumed it was a master models but the dealer says it is not and he thinks it could be a Charbens but as he is only asking £4 I buy it anyway.

So, about the 6c Euclid, It was in two different shades of yellow just like the one Hugh (Idris) showed us recently. until I got outside in my car and looked at it again in the daylight and it was the same colour all over. weird I though, so when I got home I decided to give them all a clean and lo and behold it was now two shades of yellow again, so I photographed it to show here, it was one colour, turned the flash off and photographed it again and you guessed it, two tone, so either it is haunted or I'm totally cracking up (no comments please motorman).

So Brentwood has been good to me again, The plated Daimler is pretty hard to find, another Benbros in the collection, a mysterious white trailer and a haunted Euclid plus a super clean Husky Monkeemobile, will I be at Brentwood next month - you bet I will.

Actually it was Brad Pittiful who showed us the two-tone 6c (here). I merely commented that I also have one.

As you say, Nick, the two-tone aspect comes and goes depending on the lighting. Sometimes it is strikingly obvious and sometimes it appears to be completely absent. very odd!

I wonder if the two tone Euclid was made during the change over from enamel paint to cellulose paint, one half in enamel and one half in cellulose?

Hi Nick looks like you a good day, the monkey mobile is nice and one of my favourites, the siku bus is really nice with the curtain details being a nice touch, considering how different the shades are on the euclid it's surprising that it doesn't show up more
As for myself I picked up a #60 j2 truck without back window & bpw courtesy of Tim the rest consisted of some huskys and a lone star volvo in a colour I have not seen before
