Next swap meet in April, I will try to get some striping and race numbers for these and future GT 40 projects, of which two are in the pipeline already.

No I don't. What I do it cut off the dome axle end of another axle and glue it to the wheel. Next I fit the (resized) original axle into the shaft of the wheel, which has the dome head glued on. Now I have a dome head on either side.
