They actually marketed several Twin models sets under the 'Hitch n Haul' banner for a number of Years.

Lesney used the Hitch'n Haul name on the US market only in 1982, while elsewhere the series name "Matchbox 900" which had been introduced in 1979 continued. From 1983 onward the name was "Twinpack" worldwide.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:They actually marketed several Twin models sets under the 'Hitch n Haul' banner for a number of Years.

Mattel resurrected the Hitch'n Haul name for a new series of models with trailers in 2005. That series was current until relatively recently - 2013 or so.

These were right at the end of the Lesney England base era and produced for less than 1 year for the USA market. Some rare models can be found in them, such as the one with the red AMX Javelin that Mathias shows.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:They actually marketed several Twin models sets under the 'Hitch n Haul' banner for a number of Years.

Yes, me too Alex, it is a rare one, I also think the Hitch n Haul with the tan 55d Cortina & 57b white Sunset Eccles Caravan is also a rare pack. I have it in a 900 pack but not Hitch n Haul, both are hard to find packs, will get a photo taken of my pack and post it.motorman wrote:I particularly like that one!Rob wrote:These were right at the end of the Lesney England base era and produced for less than 1 year for the USA market.
