thanks JP! i wasnt sure if the nozzle on mine was silver or gold...i went with gold as i can see some gold at least it looks like it to meTinman wrote:Nice model and good spotting! I've found a couple of unlisted silver nozzle crash tenders over the years. It seems the silver nozzles were used at various times on different variations and not just the single variation listed.
I posted about both of them (at different times) and never got any feedback. The only person who commented on either of them claimed they were both painted (I tested them for paint and they did not seem to be painted). Those comments were from the same member who thinks everything odd is a salesman's sample, color trial or something from Jack Odell's prototype shop ... unless I post the item.

ill keep an eye open for you guyskwakers wrote:I bought one of those silver nozzle Crash Tenders from you Joe that had the last style base with no hole in it, no springs under it, and it is Mint!
Maybe someone else will come forward with other silver nozzle codes for Nick to list when he updates, but perhaps like myself when you showed yours Joe, no one else but you had ever found or seen them on any Tender except the one Nick now has coded.
I also missed Antonin's Post on his model with 12.5X30 wheels on it, so Greg and I will be trying to find this same code, but now a new white spring version that eagle eyed Dan has now found.......
I have only a single Crash Tender with green springs under it, and I can Thank Jason for that early Christmas present he sent me in September of 2015 all the way from the U.K.. He somehow remembered that I had none with those springs, found me one and sent it along......I will return that favor one day when I am able to find a model he does not have in his amazing collection.....IF I am ever able to.....kwakers
It (the nozzle) looks completly silver on my monitor. But I will trust your "in hand" judgement.Brad Pittiful wrote:

Dick (and all), if I remember correctly (and I think I do), I've found silver nozzle crash tenders with almost every base. This didn't happen overnight, I was actively seeking silver nozzle crash tenders for years and that's how I came to find them. Like Dick, I was keen on certain models when they were still in the stores. I liked this one and took a fancy to buying them back then and through the years.kwakers wrote:I bought one of those silver nozzle Crash Tenders from you Joe that had the last style base with no hole in it, no springs under it, and it is Mint!
