Sorry for the poor quality photos (done as screen shots).
I was the under bidder on this eBay lot - wish I'd bid more just to get in the hand to inspect.
Welcome any comments.

They look to be repaints . I can see the original green under both . Shame , the orange one sent my heart racing for a second

I agree, both models are showing Green paint around the front axle housings.

Wondered about repaints but couldn't see how inside of mudguards would have been done without removing wheels.
Unfortunately photos don't give a clear view of axle ends to see if they have been redone.
Didn't notice the green on front axle supports until pointed out.
Makes sense that they're repaints as the traditional John Deere colour is green - but nice moment of "what if ……"

The only way I can see that being done is with a brush and a very steady hand. Thoroughly masking the insides of the wheels would be difficult...for me, anyway.tractorboy wrote:Wondered about repaints but couldn't see how inside of mudguards would have been done without removing wheels.

With these large Tractor tires removed from their rims, it should be an easy job to paint the inside of the mudguards pretty accurately with these odd colors. Both models sure looked pretty exciting to me also, Thanks for this "look what I almost bought" Post and for those Eagle-eyed members who ruined our mutual dreams about them being pre-production sample paint trials. We can still dream though.......kwakers
