Lesney Wheels and Axles

Hi Folks:

In an effort to take some valuable advice I received here, are there threads that show how to restore wheels and axles of MB 1-75 before the Superfast wheels. Also, I know how to take off the wheels from the axles, but how do you keep the wheels on?

I crimp the models that would have crimp axles and the later ones with round-overs, I use a dab of Elmers School glue inside the wheel and slide it onto the axle.
