happy days the manufacturer has agreed to pay out for the car the offer is about £300 above market rate to cover extra expenses

I'm assuming you bought your cam belt from Vauxhall so it has a manufacturers warranty. But I would like to warn others from buying cheap chinese parts from ebay, I replaced two rubber suspension bushes, They needed replacing again after only 6 months, This time I used the correct parts from the manufacturer.
