Any Ideas?

Post by johnboy »

Only 50p at our local boot sale, so no harm done. Does anyone know anything about them? They're metal and securely mounted on the plinth. Quite nicely cast too.

it seems to be Lledo casts.

Silver Ghost Brewster Tilbury saloon, Silver Ghost Playboy roadster, and Silver Ghost Barker Tourer (missing hood). Set "vintage collection" 1988. The plinth was in a carded blue box.

Not to take anything away from the information given by "Fox", I will just add that those are the Three Lledo Rolls-Royce models put together as the...'Vintage Rolls-Royce Car Collection' mounted on a Wooden plynth and issued as a Limited Edition set of only 7,500 during 1987. The UK retail price was around £13.

The same Three models were available separately in 1988, but these do not have the hole in their plastic baseplate for the screw fixing to the Wooden plynth and these are the hard to find examples.

So for 50p, that is a right real bargain!

Thanks too Ghosty, very informative. They've got a certain charm and I couldn't leave them there. Shame about the missing canopy, I'll look out for one now.

This model can provide a roof and these are very cheap at toy fairs.
