Xmas Greetings & Thanks from Numi

Post by numi »

I take this opportunity to thank each & every collector-friend and forum member for all their friendships, expertise & new finds and their great experiences shared in making this forum a pleasurable domain.I have undoubtedly learned a lot from our Guru's & have learned something new or exciting from each and every collector and that alone is immeasurable and greatly appreciated,so thank u very much.

The thrill of Matchbox collecting is inexplicable & incomparable. Its a passion with the non-optional addiction that is incurable but the relief-remedy is to collect more Matchbox Models.Believe it or not that some collectors actually sleep among their collection and i can understand this phenomenon.

Yes,its possible that we've crossed each others collecting paths at some stage over certain special models but know that All's fair in Love & Lesney collecting and thats what make it all the more interesting & special. Not forgetting that Jason & Schenk are the two members who constantly unearth those special Lesney variants both barely known & unknown. Not sure how & where they sniff out those surprises.... but keep it up Boys!

Special thanks goes out to Mr Nick Jones for creating this forum and who magnanimously & tirelessly coaches me and helps me wherever possible with attaining some beautiful models & opportunities and for this i am truly grateful. ;) :D
Great thanks go to Mr Marshall (kerbside) for the lovely Open-Toe gift, most appreciated. :D

Its that part of the year where we kick off our shoes and celebrate our achievements. We sometimes celebrate our disappointments which bring us closer to perfection or into other meaningful avenues and unto the tree of wisdom. Its a time where we should celebrate our friendship & fondness for others and also celebrate the fondness of our hobby. Its a time of sharing and giving to the fortunate & the unfortunate (like Ghosty parting with one of his Firenzas to MM  ).
Its also a time to praise the top achievers and a time for prayer for the down-trodden.Its a time to give praises & thanks to our Almighty although we do this daily. Its also a time to give thanks to our parents, our custodians, our providers, our guardians, our employers, our Gurus, our loved ones, our pets, all flora & fauna, our neighbors, our benefactors/heirs,our sponsors, our churches & religious institutions, our hospitals & staff(doctors & nurses),our policeman & military, our servants, our aged, our welfare institutions, our service providers and to all those who make our lives exciting, beneficial & comfortable.

Take care All and do enjoy this precious times and happy Mb hunting!
I wish you all a Blessed Xmas and a Love-filled,Healthy & Prosperous New Year 2015 to you & your families.
Best regards,
Numi

merry christmas to you too!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Jeepers, I'd never bother taking a crack at summing it up any better than that Numi! Thank you for your thoughts, your well-wishes and the eyes-open, generous, serving spirit you bring to our VBD home. Best wishes to you as well this Christmas season and throughout the new year! :)

Happy holidays Numi - powerful words reflecting good thoughts on what what was originally intended to be a spiritual holiday ( rather then just an orgy of consumption! )
