All very easy this week.
The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (first edition), the AIM “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983), Stannard and Houghton do not contain any variations not already listed by Nick. U.K. Matchbox did not examine the model.

Nick notes that the rear bumper trim was dropped sometime during the life of the mode, but which variations have the trim and which don't is unclear. Details please!
I have seen all yellow models, but have yet to be convinced by any of them. Even if they were genuine, they would have to be classed a error pieces.

Not if there were a small run of them found in one particular market Idris. Why would this one be any different than the rare green Australian 5A Bus if they are found in circulation? I have never seen one, but they sound like a model I sure would like to look over in my hand any day of the week....always the Lesney optimist, kwakers

Regardless of whether it was a genuine variation or an error, I'm sure that an authentic all-yellow 70a would be a desirable piece for many RW collectors - myself included.

I have never seen or heard of an all yellow one. But if they exist someone in this forum must own one, if not I dont belive it..... sorry kwak.....

They definitely exist, but the question is, are they genuine?

We have not seen examples of them Idris, you have. I have a 29B Austin Cambridge I bought out of Australia fully painted in pale green with only small areas of the bottom light metallic green having been painted. That model is held by me just as tightly as the reverse mask sprayed on the pale green roof and hood error that Moko had on Nick's OOPS pages that I now own. They are side by side and I enjoy these 'errors', or perhaps 'negative variations' very much. What is there not to 'believe'?, unless the of course the models you saw had been re-painted, or had the second color carefully removed. kwakers

After a thorough search I was unable to find another 70a Thames estate car without any silver trim like the one recently found by Reg (fixer). No new variations have been added to this page.
