Early Lesney, Benbros, Condon, Moko & Dinky

Post by Ewan »

Needs must as they say and in an effort to at least keep some kind of collection together the following are up for sale, first refusal to forum members. I'm not 100% confident with my pricing here so if I'm way out in either direction I trust you to let me know. More pics available if you ask. I haven't shown any of my big Lone Star here but if anyone wants I can as they're going too.

First up is the early Lesney Bulldozer - good condition with original tracks. Casting flaws in blade - £150 posted anywhere in the world?

Next up - pair of Moko crawler tractors. The overpainted one is the rare light blue underneath. There is a repro set of tracks and a repro driver (unpainted) with each - £20 the pair posted (UK) or £25 (rest of world)

I guess I'm being over-optimistic here. If anyone wants to make a genuine offer for any of them please do. Sorry - no swaps though.

OOOOPS - over optimistic isn't the word
Vectis have just emailed me back with an estimate of £80 to £120 for the dozer. If any forum member wants it for £80 plus post then pm me and we can both save ourselves some commission.

Hi Ewan, Gary Galvin would like the orange Lesney bulldozer for £80 if it is not already gone, He may take a few days to contact you though, Sadly Gary lost his Dad this morning, I'm sure everyone that knows Gary or knew his Dad will join me and send Gary their condolences,
Attached is a picture taken at the 2004 Matchbox exhibition in Hackney,

So sorry to hear such sad news. Gary if your reading this, take some time out to gather your thoughts, but know this, that your friends are here for you and while it is a sad loss for your Family and close friends, time will be a good healer and soon you will be coming back to your hobbies.

I don't think we have spoken to each other on this forum, but I am feeling for you, as my Father has some issues with his health that may end sadly in the near future with the loss of him.

Be strong Gary and we all look forward to hearing from you soon, take care mate.

Kevin the GHOSTHUNTER.

Gary is not a member of the forum but he collects early Lesney large scale, benbros and charbens among others. He runs his own business and is often on the road so gets little spare time to chat on here, But he often emails me snippets of interest that I post here and reads most of the early stuff posts, But more than that I have known him personally since the late 90's and can say with all honesty he is a genuine and very likable guy and someone I consider to be a good friend.
