If these faded models are from the same source, they may have been displayed on mirror shelves. The light is reflected evenly on the underside of the model resulting in the rivets being as faded as the top surfaces. Beware "light blue" Y6 Osrams, as they can be a result of this.

Unlikely to be all sun fade so just wondering if something in the paint composition. Sun fade would be part of it but how do you explain the base sides and the rivet being the same unless previous owner turned it regular for a 'basting'
