Husky / Corgi Juniors by Mettoy #12c Reliant Ogle Scimitar

The #12 Reliant Ogle Scimitar was the 1968 Motor Show prototype for the long running Reliant Scimitar GTE SE5 sports hatchback famously driven by HRH Princess Anne for many years.
It joined the Corgi Juniors range in 1970 and was in production until the end of picturecard blisterpacks in 1973, appearing in both long and shortcard Whizzwheels picturecard blisters.
It was the sole sportscar released in 1970 not to appear as a Corgi Rocket so there is a reasonable probability that this car was originally pencilled in as one of the cancelled Rockets (912??) numbers.

The first very common issue was white with a plated baseplate, twin wire sprung suspension, orange tinted glazing, yellow seats and plain black 11.5 x 4mm 5 spoke Whizzwheels.
The second very hard to find issue was bright blue enamel, the same shade as used on the well know Ironside truck but otherwise unchanged.
The final recolour was to metallic light blue, a shade shared with the high profile Rally Escort Mk1. These light metallic blue examples are common and came mostly with hot foiled 11.5 x 4mm 5 spokes but also initially with the plain black version as per the earlier colours or at the end with hot foiled 10 slot 11.5 x 4mm.Light metallic blue examples with hot foiled wheels can have either orange or yellow tinted glazing.
