Put a silly bid in on this lot never expecting to win, but I did. The post to Germany cost more than double the price of the lot!!
Nothing special but I was interested in the Giftware and there was no indication of what was in the other "poor" box so took a chance. Turned out to be an absolutely mint gold plated Opel with all the packing pieces and pens.
Also two Britains Farm Implements. Not interested in these and they will probably be sold on. Anyone interested?

Fantastic viewfield, would love to look at the two Y-10 Rolls-Royce models in more detail, any chance of detailed pictures, (nice and square-on, not angled, see my example, shown below) of just the spare wheel area, if you can, cheers for that.

Your probably not that interested, but both examples of the Y-10 you have in your Auction win, that you have very kindly re-photographed for me, have the 'narrow' brake lever mounting point, the actual area that the levers casting is pressed into, on that part of the body. If you look at 'my' image again, you can see that this is a 'wider' design and comes from 1972, the 'narrow' design was used on the model from 1969, (the year this Rolls-Royce was introduced) until the end of 1971.

If yours were of the 'wide' design, I would have been making an offer for them... but they are not, so keep them for your own collection, cheers for reading all this, it was quite interesting after all...

I assume you mean the "square bit" behind the brake levers, otherwise I cannot see any difference

Had a look at some other Y-10's and came up with this one:

Yes viewfield, that's the part, the little square block sticking out from behind the levers.

For no apparent reason, the tooling for this area was modified to create a wider mounting block and it only appears on models sold during 1972, until production of 'Yesteryears' was suspended. These models must be un-common, against the earlier versions with the narrow mounting block, like your two examples.

That last image you have added, does appear to show a wider mounting block than your first two images, but not as wide as the mounting block in my, (smaller) image, how odd!

Despite this, there seems to be no monetary gain on these examples yet, maybe because they have not been brought to collectors attention, (until now, perhaps!) so keep a look out for this previously un-recorded variation.

Here is a 'Chrome' effect ashtray Y-10 model, it comes from the 1974-78 production period, so this means its a casting from the white and metallic purple range, the 1974 're-launched' 'Yesteryears' with the wider nylon based weel rims and tyres.

Note how rounded the mounting block is, compaired to the earlier examples, at first I thought your third picture was of one of these, but looking at this here above, I don't think it is, so maybe its a worn or damaged casting that we are looking at in your third image.

I couldn't be a pain and ask to see more of the model in your third image, a good view of the front and a seperate good view of the back, in particular, the rear left hand side wheel and corner of the boot, many thank's in advance if you could do this...I await with baited breath
