Post by fixer »

Picked these up today
pleased with the miura (thanks Nick) being an upgrade to the one I have, the rolls I'm not sure if it's genuine the plastic roof is loose having been previously glued on and is different moulding to my others
Field cars are like busses, looked for ages for one then get 3 in a few weeks
Met Nick again, sorry I missed you to say goodbye, maybe see you at Rayleigh next week

I used to like going to the Ipswich toy fair. It always turned up something different.
One year a vendor had some small coronation coaches for sale. There were two on the table with no horses. I asked him about them and he gladly gave me a run down on them. He told me they were the Benbros ones. I had a close look, well not that close really as I only had to see if there was an insignia on the doors, and there clearly wasn't. Also a quick look behind the carriage for the Lesney mark and clearly that was there so he was wrong.
Asked how much - two pound fifty pence each! He just wanted shot of them. I asked if he had any more. He had another 12 under the table. I took the lot at one pound eighty each!
Still looking for the horses!
