Hi all, here are my No. 31d Volks Dragons. Both have the 'ribbed' air intake on top. I'm not sure if the 'eyeless' one is a factory error/variation or has the sticker peeled off. I've examined it and can detect no trace of adhesive residue.

Wonderful selection as always, Mathias, great to have you back! :D

My observations on some of your models..

In the first photo, we see pretty much the whole 'family' of Volks Dragon:

1) 'Smooth intake' variant with the added set of eyes (new to me)
2) Clear and tinted windows
3) Abnormally high 'eyes' label
and possibly other variants..

Further down, we see the wheel variants, thinner and thicker spokes (have to look out for those).
A very fine display, including the Continentals and Caravan. Nice close-ups, by the way.

I've noticed about Volks Dragons in general, that the unpainted metal parts (baseplate, headlights, bumpers) tend to vary quite a bit in shade, from light to darkish grey. Also, for the record, the 'ribbed intake' 31d is fairly common (mint). The 'smooth intake' one, however, is extremely scarce. Usually I find that mint 'eyes' labels are quite hard to come by too (the paper's vulnerable to wear and tear). Some think the 'eyes' make the car look a bit goofy, I think they give it character!

Thanks for your contribution, Mathias, and all the others as well!

Now... who's got the Lady Bugs and Hi-Ho's?

Cheers,
Ken

Hi Jason, so many rare variations on that model... nice one!

The baseplate's texture is interesting, almost seems like marble to me.

Cheers,
Ken

Hi Ken,
The baseplate looks different as it has not been plated on this model.
