These Code 2 models were produced by the MICA in the original Matchbox prime colours of blue and yellow.

The donor models probably came from the public arena rather than being sourced from Mattel as the baseplates have cast legends for 'LESNEY PRODUCTS LTD' or 'MATCHBOX INT'L LTD'.
The models feature 4 different colour schemes produced in different numbers.

Horace Dunkley had some of these models which originated from Joe Recchia. Of note are the 1/2 models in pale grey and khaki.

I have a 1/25 pewter model from this range, which come in a perspex box, on a plinth.

The Canadian Mastermind also had a rare yellow model with black 12 spoke wheels (not shown). These yellow models seem to echo the well known Y12 prepro and the MICA/Matchbox Club were fond of taking livery ideas from well known earlier Yesteryear models.
