Recent posts

Having been absent from the forum for a couple of years, I’m trying to catch up with my reading. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to list by recent posts? I can see that each thread has the most recent post beside it, but can’t find a way to order the column (the end one) by the most recent message. Perhaps it can’t be done, but it would be very useful if anyone knows a way!

Not too sure what you mean, Martin.
My default display settings appears to be "Display topics from previous all topics Sort by Post time Descending, and that sorts the topics by the most recent post within each topic, i.e. the topic with the most recent post appears first.

I had the third drop down as descending by mistake. All is as it should be now!

Having just tested that ascending/descending option, I see what Martin was trying to describe. Always good to do a fix yourself either by trial and error or pure luck!

I don't use the sort settings/filters very often, but they are useful in sub-fora where topics have predominantly numerical titles (such as Charlie P's Kings Corner) and the Forum search function rejects the chosen search term as being too short.

With me being new to the forum it's impossible for me to catch up on everything. So I will be keeping up on where abouts my interest lies within the forum or whatever catches my eye of looks interesting.
