Resto & Customs Very Best of 2020

Post by Tinman »

As a companion to the original models Best of 2020, here is the Restoration & Customs Very Best of 2020. Members are invited to use this thread to show their two favorite Restorations and/or Custom rebuilds of 2020. They can be your own two favorites or you can post photos of your favorite Restorations or Customs made by anyone else on the web (if made by anyone other than yourself, please credit the builder by name). Please keep it to only two since this will help to maintain quality and also prevent the thread from becoming overly long.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Thought I might start the thread. Because of Covid, I've had plenty of extra time on my hands. The result has been quite a few customs and restorations which made it hard for me to choose two of my favorites. I decided to group my two Land Rover Beach Rescue vehicles into one group shot and count them as one (since they are basically based on the same theme and vehicle). for my second, I chose the YY Omni Bus.

I've nothing to show here (though I do have a Land Rover to restore next year), but the rescue Land Rovers are terrific. Where did you source the boat?

Having two left hands and zero patience, I don't do restorations. However, one of this year's offerings sticks in my mind, and that's Joe's "Evening News" mini van. (Unfortunately, I can't find it on the Forum, but if someone else can post the picture, I'll combine it with this post.)

As we've come to expect, another great job!

The gold Sharpie works just as well on A series models and YYs.
