The Packard is a really nice casting. Unusually the screen is a simple piece of clear plastic in an unrealistic orange. It’s really easy to slot a curved piece of a plastic bottle in place - I’ll add a picture of one I’ve made later.

Not bad at all; I'd say you did mighty well. Any of those models, on their own, are certainty worth $2.67 US.

Here’s an excellent original with the correct, though unlikely, orange plastic screen, and another to which I’ve added a green screen made from a piece of plastic bottle.

It simply slots into place and the slight curve helps to keep it secure.

Great scores! Here in the States; I've seen maybe two Regular Wheel models, and no more then ten Superfast at flea markets and "junk shops" (not counting antique stores; which we really don't have more than one or two).

I saved a piece of clam packaging for a power tool that should be really good for windows. It's some pretty heavy stuff.

Maybe a trip to a wider horizon. North America was the biggest retail market outside of the UK for many toy and model companies so I would expect more than enough Matchbox models there to satisfy collectors.

Not bad at all, quite a bargain I'd say.

Here's my bargain buy of the season, it was slightly more expensive but still a great deal. The 10b has GPW.

Of course: The mechanical horse (model number 10b) has (the harder to find) Grey Plastic Wheels (GPW).
