Triumph T110 and Sidecar in COPPER

Hello All,
There is a very rare model being auctioned by Vectis. I am not sure it is genuine. This is the link:
https://www.vectis.co.uk/lot/matchbox-r ... cle_833777
From the research I did on VBD the wheels should be the same as those for the Harley MB66, but in this case they are not (picture also attached).
What is your opinion on this please? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Antoine

As with any such rarity, I wouldn't let go of my money unless I'd seen it in person, or had it inspected by someone I trust. Let's see what those folks would have to say.

Very much

How did the new tires, with all the excess plastic sprue still on them, find their way onto a play worn model?

Hello,
Thanks for your advice - my thoughts exactly. That's one of the reasons why I am seeking advice from the more knowledgeable collectors in this forum.
Thanks once again,
Antoine

Hi Idris,
Yes, I've read all that prior to posting my message. In fact, knowing that there are many 'Jonkerses' around, I am being extremely cautious!
In this instance the model is being auctioned by Vectis, who are reputable toy auctioneers.
My dilemma is that on the one hand I am doubting whether the model is genuine, whilst on the other hand there is a reasonable level of confidence that it is being auctioned by a serious, reputable auction house like Vectis.
It is still inconclusive until now - let us wait and see what other VBM members have to say.
Thanks for your help.
Antoine

Hi Kevin,
So I take it that this is doubtful at best.
This is worrying me more about the auction house than the model itself - I expect reasonable assurance from world renowned auctioneers (and only because absolute assurance is never possible in life).
I will send them a message asking for more details, including provenance.
Thanks for you help.
Antoine

Vectis are good, but not infallible. They have made serious errors of judgement in the past (example
here), and will almost certainly do so in the future.
