Superfast Ford Gt price enquiry

Post by waratah »

A collection of vehicles were sold via an online auction last week. They were from New Zealand. There were some great models / items in the collection. One caught my eye for the price it sold for, a Superfast Ford GT #41 with turquoise base. It was boxed. It went for US$344. I am wondering if there's something about it that contributed to that price. The link is below, moderators please remove link if this isn't allowed. Looking forward to seeing the reason it went so high, thanks, Laurie

The base colour makes it an early issue and its condition are the only details I can see to make the high price. The box is not the earliest printing so on that basis it could have been even more!

A gentle reminder to members new and old: a thread based on a link becomes useless once that link is dead. This is especially true of links to Ebay auctions where the details are automatically deleted from the server after a couple of months.
By all means post a link so that Members can do their own research, but please, please, please post an image as well. (Thank you Ghosty for taking the initiative in this particular case.)
Links to auctions are allowed, but links to live auctions are only permitted either to ask a genuine question about the item being auctioned or, if the poster is the seller, to promote the auction.

Are you using the "Snipping tool" and if yes, where do you save the image?

It works well if you know the differences between the previous versions. Plenty of tutorials around to help with that. I've no issues with 10.

Trying to steer the conversation back on topic ... anyone know about the price and why it went for so much?
