I've been investigating the possibility of having the e-magazines printed and produced as a physical magazine to match the original 21 volume printed set.
Here's what my printer has quoted As you can see, the price goes down appreciably when more copies of each are ordered and could go lower if a higher number is achieved. So I thought I'd see how many members would be interested. Obviously the prices shown do not include shipping costs.

This quote is based on the one sample I sent him but I think some of these e-magazines are comprised of more pages. If I get an idea of how many members are interested in having a physical copy, I can then work out the nitty gritty and get an accurate price.

I printed the e-mags years ago and placed two e-mags in each binder. it is so much better having the pages printed. Here are some scans.

I prefer the printed version hence the thread. I really don't fancy the idea of self printing these. Trying to work out which pages to print on the reverse of each sheet is mind boggling. Even printing separate two sided sheets in A5 is a major project.

Most modern printers will sort all that out for you and print both sides of the page and collate the pages.  But, you will have to scan everything and create a file from which to work from.  There is another downside to self printing, depending on the brand of printer you have, the ink cost could be expensive (especially if you cant get cheap refilled cartridges to work in your printer). I have a Stannard catalog scanned onto disk, printing that out is simplified by using the settings provided with the printer software. That catalog is an ink hog.

My printer is pretty basic. The e-magazines are on a disc in pdf format, from Mick by a circuitous route. By the sound of it some decent printing software might be enough to place the appropriate pages opposite each other. Then it's about the cost of ink and paper.
I'll get another quote and see what that looks like. As these magazines cover all aspects of Matchbox I'd hoped to find some more takers here. Early days yet though.
